What Families Are Saying:

I liked that the volunteer activity was totally designed with younger kids in mind (time period, snacks & drinks on hand, etc). I have been looking for volunteer opportunities to do with our family for awhile now with no success and it was so nice to have a place to go which had already done all the behind the scenes work to make it happen!
– Nicole

We always have such a great time!  I appreciate the kids learning more about their community and understanding that we all play a role in helping others.
– Becky

We had a great time!  My 5-year old son was worried about his ability to do the activity, but soon realized he could do it and I was there to help him if he needed it.  He talked about the mommy he helped a lot.  He was very proud!
– Suzanne

The volunteer activity was the right duration and level for my 5-year old son.
– Sara

I wasn’t sure that helping a family in need was absorbed, but this morning when my 4-year old got into the tupperware to play and I asked what he was making he said, “This is a kids cooking kitchen and we’re making food for a family whose mommy has been really sick.” He totally took it all in!
– Amy

We had a great time volunteering with you at Ronald McDonald House.  My boys had a blast and this was our first time as a family volunteering for a great and needed cause.  I had been looking for some time for activities where my boys could give back to the community. They had never cooked on their own like in this activity and they felt so proud of being big boys and being able to provide a meal for someone.  The activity was fun, and age/developmentally appropriate.  They were able to use their thinking, math skills and fine motor skills as well. They learned about the Ronald McDonald House and the wonderful work that they provide and got to meet other children with the desire to help as well. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity!
