For Businesses

Farmers Insurance families help paint new cubbies for Heart House.

A Farmers Insurance family helps paint new cubbies for Heart House Austin, a free afterschool program for low-income children.

Little Helping Hands will work with local businesses to create or enhance employee community service programs with family volunteer opportunities. Our focus on family volunteering and young children makes us unique. No other organization offers this service to the Austin community.

By identifying age-appropriate activities for the entire family, employees are more likely to participate in company-coordinated volunteer events because it allows them to spend time with their family while supporting great causes.

Family Volunteering Benefits

For your company.

Strengthens your corporate culture.

Now more than ever, businesses are looking for ways to give back to their communities beyond financial contributions.  By including employee families in your community service initiatives, you are offering more value to your employees, not to mention the wellness benefits family volunteering can potentially have on your workforce.

For employees and their families.

Bazaarvoice employee and his family help make lunch for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

Allows families to spend quality time together.

By engaging in meaningful, hands-on community service activities, parents/caretakers have the opportunity to pass along important values, attitudes, and beliefs and help develop compassion, understanding of others, and respect for our environment.

For the community.

Inspires a new generation of volunteers.

People are much more likely to volunteer throughout their lifetimes if they volunteer as a child. This likelihood increases when children volunteer with their family. Adults who volunteered during their childhood also donate more often and a larger percentage of their income.

Little Helping Hands Value

We do the legwork.

We’ll work with your management team to identify the family volunteering activities and causes you want to support that meet your community service objectives and then work to find and schedule these activities.  We’ll also handle the logistics and provide on-site management so your team can focus on other business priorities.

Maximize your community service dollars.

Little Helping Hands is a charitable organization.  By partnering with us you not only help the beneficiaries of the volunteer work your employees and their families do, but support our cause by helping to provide volunteer opportunities for other families within the Austin community.
