Family Volunteer Day 2010

Family volunteers help bag groceries for Micah 6 Pantry recipients.

64 families, 105 children participated in Little Helping Hands volunteer activities on Family Volunteer Day 2010.

Activities included:

-Farming and harvesting at Green Gate Farms
-Trash/litter pick-up with the City of Austin’s Safe Routes for School
-Planting flowers and trash/litter pick-up at Eilers Park
-Assembling grooming kits and cutting out magazine address labels at Operation School Bell
-Breaking down computers for recycling and reuse at Goodwill GreenWorks
-Preparing dinner at the Ronald McDonald House
-Bagging groceries for pantry recipients at Micah 6
-Making ornaments and helping out in the Rainbow Room of Partnerships for Children
-Assembling For Every Child’s Hope Totes for children under the care of Child Protective Services
-Mulching, wildflower seeding, and trash/litter pick-up at Northwest District Park
-Assembling rice and bean bags at the Capital Area Food Bank
